...in the draft? This shocked me when I read it this weekend...not a franchise player in the group of 1st round picks? Only two with their contracts extended? Hey, I don't follow the NFL other than headlines and a few reads each day but this confuses the heck out of me. Is this the norm in the league?

There are reasons that some teams are almost always in the bottom of wins and loses every year. Cleveland, Cincinnati and Jacksonville to name a few. They need to hire someone that knows how to draft.

If I count right, 18 out of the 61 listed on their roster for any part of 2017 were no longer in the NFL at all by the start of the 2019 season. And lots of them were only in their first 3-5 years.
