I always thought he was a good guy. These days 73 seems too young to die.

One of the older guys in my neighborhood just got diagnosed with this. Poor guy is on dialysis, has heart issues, and just found out he's got lymphoma. Said he's not gonna fight this one.

Did not know he was from Alabama, did know he took Gore place when he became VP. Saw one of his ad for the reverse mortgage yesterday. I did like his acting too. Prayer for his family.

If I am not mistaken, Lawrenceburg, Tn. was Mr. Thompson's residence when he held office in Tennessee.

I didn't terribly mind his politics. As an actor though, while he wasn't a complete character actor (usually played the same kind of character), I thought he was great in both Die Hard 2 and The Hunt for Red October. I think he left behind a young child, too.
