Ya gotta wonder...if he was still alive would Joe Pa being in jail as well?

JoePa was as knowledgeable as anyone not named Sandusky. One of his last public comments I heard when being interviewed was that he wished he had done more. That rings hollow when he knowingly enabled and empowered a serial pedophile for over a decade by choosing to look the other way.

Would a Pennsylvania court put away their emotion for an old HC who put Penn St football on the map for over 50 years? He probably gets the lifetime achievement award and skates.

We've got this story of an adult that says he saw Sandusky with a kid in the shower--he basically did nothing. I have to wonder, how the hell does that actually happen? Was he physically threatened by knowledge that Sandusky was some bad ass and if he tried to stop what he said he saw he'd have been ____? Been what? I've thought on more than one occasion if there's someone who needed the spotlight on them to a even greater degree it's him.

I say that, to ask this. Why isn't he in jail?

That's the thing with Asst coach Mike McQueary. You don't wait to have a talk with Paterno when you see sexual abuse in front of you. There were as many as 6 assistant coaches that allegedly saw this behavior for themselves and didn't stop it. Somewhere the law of human decency should have kicked in and saved these kids. Because you work for someone is no excuse and they should be legally accountable. How these guys live with walking away with families of their own is beyond me.

I could not agree more. His ginger ass should have destroyed Sandusky and left him in a pool of his own blood after coming across that. I mean, how would he feel if a grown up walked in on his kid being abused and just kept going? He is complicit for not being a good samaritan. If you're that physically threatened, go get a chair or anything you can swing and take the fight to him. America is just full of people like this now a days that are scared to get involved.
