šŸˆ Former Bama player scam

Shoulda chosen the WNBA; no one knows what most of them look like. 😈

I saw this breaking. I believe it as AL.com who first published the story. It was picked up by NBC's Huntsville affiliate then to be picked up by SCRIBD which in turn led to this article out of ATL.

I've yet to see how they were discovered. Was it a bad wig? Did someone look at Davis and think, "yeah, you aren't a defensive back?"

When I first saw this, I'm wondering why he wasn't charged with loan fraud to a bank, but then I saw all of these companies were private lenders, so no bank fraud, just wire fraud on the fundings.

Private lenders making loans to pro players. This underscores how fragile the financial conditions of pro players can be. House of cards.

One player victim was listed as "X. M.". Very hard, if not impossible, for that to not be Xavier McKinney.

@It Takes Eleven

Through its own reporting, The Guardian identified three of the players as Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix, former Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku and Green Bay Packers safety Xavier McKinney, who starred at Alabama from 2017-19.

Almost sound like another ex- Bama players he played back in the 1990's. Burgdorf he got caught with his hand in a cookies jar too!
He bounced a half of a dozen checks, maybe less, to drug stores in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. I remember they averaged the same amount as his Tusc County bond...a few hundred per check. fRan was coach at the time.
