šŸ“” Former Arkansas Coach Frank Broyles passed away.....

Personally, I enjoyed Broyles on his TV time with Keith Jackson. They both seemed to heap a lot of praise on Coach Bryant and the Alabama program and that always made the games far more entertaining.

Everyone may not know but he lost his wife with Alzheimer's disease and he wrote some small books on some of the emotional and physical symptoms the caregivers and family would take note of and be going through themselves as changes took place. I was going through it with my dad at the time so a lot of the info was very timely and his determined loyalty to his mate through it all was really heartwarming and sincere.

Frank Broyles came across as a very decent, honorable guy, that loved football and the University of Arkansas. Just don't get me started on the 1964 NC they are determined to count. :eyeroll:

Yea good memories....
One bad...
One year when he was AD....wasn't going to let Bama Ppv the AR vs Bama game...
Got so much pressure....he gave in.......
Said something to the effect.....didn't realize the Bama fans were so zealous...lol
Good color guy with Keith....

He had some good game at Arkansas. First game I remember watching was the 1969 game against Texas. Got ahead 14-0 till the fourth and Texas when ahead and won 15-14. Watching that game that day was President Nixon and future President H.W. Bush. (R.I.P. Coach)
