Personally, I enjoyed Broyles on his TV time with Keith Jackson. They both seemed to heap a lot of praise on Coach Bryant and the Alabama program and that always made the games far more entertaining.
Everyone may not know but he lost his wife with Alzheimer's disease and he wrote some small books on some of the emotional and physical symptoms the caregivers and family would take note of and be going through themselves as changes took place. I was going through it with my dad at the time so a lot of the info was very timely and his determined loyalty to his mate through it all was really heartwarming and sincere.
Frank Broyles came across as a very decent, honorable guy, that loved football and the University of Arkansas. Just don't get me started on the 1964 NC they are determined to count. :eyeroll:
