šŸˆ Forget climate change, State players won't have hands in the next generation.

I mean, interesting take I guess, first time since Utah State Alabama wasn't the most penalized team on the field. I would like to add that usually our "penalty issues" happen when on the road. I'll leave everyone else to decide what that means exactly. I just know that when the game is called relatively similar for both sides. We don't have nearly as many penalties...

I agree with you on almost everything. The past two seasons though, Bama just hasn’t played disciplined ball consistently. Pre-snap penalties for example aren’t open to much homerism and other than a game or two they’ve had far too many. That’s not to say refs on the road treat Bama fairly on holding calls for example … because they absolutely do not. Sadly, that’s also been the case at home too. There were at least three blatant holds that should have been called against the vile’s that weren’t. And the no targeting call on the Young hit should have cost someone a paycheck. All that being said, we will see if Saturday night was a fluke or a good sign of things to come. If it’s the latter, there’s definitely a lack of discipline issue … and one I’m not sure can be fixed in season.

Creative mind...seems every time we our hands its pass interference though
You know Saban teaches the hook and swat technique that’s now also being called PI. So, I think that’s why he’s more upset with the officials than his players on those calls. His players are just doing what he taught them to do. He also must teach his DB’s to not turn around and locate the ball since so few Bama defenders ever do so. And if the pass is under thrown a collision ensues and the flag is thrown. Again, he doesn’t seem to get upset with his players on those flags. I don’t know the numbers but it sure seems like Bama gets flagged for PI twice as much as their opponents. It’s not nearly as bad as the O-line holding call disparity but it seems to definitely favor the opposition. Does anyone have the numbers on PI calls like I’ve seen posted on O-line holding calls?
