The reason for the thread.It doesn't matter that much but The King has now been ranked #1 at some point in every year since 2008. Tip of the hat is in order.

'14,'16,'18 Bama was No#1 going into the Playoff.that was '08. we were #2 in '09 before we played them in atlanta. then we went to #1 before playing texas in pasadena.
but i'd much rather be #2...because the #1 ranked team has never won the cfp championship.
not that i'm superstitious....

The reason I like the #1 spot versus #2 is the semi-finals. I'd rather see the team make the ATL -> New Orleans trip versus traveling to Tempe.I’d rather stay 2 also.
