🏈 Football movie---"The Blind Side"

Went with my wife and 21 yr old son. It was like old times. The first time in quite a while we all went to the movies together. We really enjoyed it.

The Avenues down the street from me have the only theaters in Georgia with all digital Sony 4K cinema projectors. They create images with more than four times the resolution of HDTV. Screens are more than three stories high and 50 feet wide. Excellent movie and not a bad seat in the house.

Damn. That's a big screen. IMAX is something I can only handle occasionally and it HAS to be something that really intrigues me. Then, after a few minutes, that's just too freakin' big.

I have a similar issue with the old school IMAX screens, but not the movie IMAX screens. Have you watched a movie on a theater IMAX versus the old dome IMAX? the domers give me sensory overload big time as they are too busy and you can't possibly see all the data, but the theater IMAX is much different.

Cinemark out here has a 72' wide screen - called XD where they use these 4K projectors I believe, watched Inglorious Basterds on it, was flipping cool as hell. Planning on watching Avatar there this week
