šŸˆ Football Gameplan's Bama vs WVU Wraparound Preview

He says he believes our game with WVU will be close. Not sure where that's coming from, and hope he is wrong. If you don't want to watch the whole thing, our game review is the last one on there.

He likes our TE's and names Jalston Fowler as one? Is that what he said? I listened three times and still couldn't understand if that's what he meant. I hope he's wrong about the game being close. I don't think it will be, not like he thinks anyway.

He doesn't keep up with what's going on as closely as we do. He's thinking, I'm assuming, we're going to use Jalston in an H-back role more than a fullback role.

OK, we'll give him the benefit of the doubt. But you're probably right in that is what he's thinking. I hadn't thought of it in that way. Thanks @TerryP .

I'm looking at this in this light, Wayne. Right now, @EmDiggy seems to be dropping by, posting a link to his site, then moving on. I'm going to watch and see if he responds to this thread. If he doesn't when he's questioned I'm looking at it as spam...and quite frankly, that leaves me in a mood of "pay to do it or leave."

Yup, search EmDiggy on google....I'm too lazy to keep posting his stuff. go-bengals, bisonville.com, giantsfans.net, calpolymustangs, extremeravens.com, etc, etc, etc....

Thanks for the reply Gang. It's not that I'm 'spamming'..it's just that I share 'team related' videos and articles that I've done since 2007.

As for the game, Yep Folster imo will be more of an HB/FB type role is what I meant. My biggest question is how much freedom will Saban give Kiffin offensively. Another worry is about how WVU will try and spread the field to force you guys to take one of those LBs off of it and add a DB (giving them exactly what they want)

Should be a great game nonetheless

Who's Folster?

WVU loves the short pass, I hate Holgorsen's offensive gameplan. Way too many 2-3 yd passes (Geno's average is stupid if you go back and look at it - less than 3 yds, 3-13yds, and 13+ yds)...their stats are always inflated.

Typing too fast on a phone... Fowler.

It'll be interesting how they use their backs in the passing game. They tend to recruit those type of guys that can essentially play both positions. Ala David Palmer/Rocket Ismail/Percy Harvin type guys

@EmDiggy, you really don't watch a lot of BAMA football do you? Even though our defense is based out of the 3-4, we often start in a nickel or even dime package, thus already eliminating that LB before the offense forces our hand. I expect our pass rush from our front to really cause some serious issues for WVU. Don't be surprised if BAMA doesn't get a pick or two with one going to the house! The 3-3-5 defense that they run really is more of a 4-3, 4-2-5, and even a 5-2 look. The key will be getting good communication on the line and getting a hat on the LBs/Hybrids. BAMA runs for 250+ and cruises!!

That's a solid point. Thier offense is loaded at the running back position—Shell is one of those guys that Bama lost on during his recruitment; hell of a running back.

I can see a lot of swing passes trying to get their RB's in space in the flat.
Bama will be in nickel 85%+ of this game.

The question I have is who will be in the nickel. Are we going with a 3S, 2 CB look or playing 3 corners with two safeties.

Considering he's missed most of camp, I doubt it.

I havent heard anything about Jarrick Williams missing camp. Geno had a brief amount of time missed with injury. Im expecting most nickel looks to go with Geno at nickle and Jarrick Williams/Nick Perry and Landon Collins at safety. Sylve, Jones, Brown, Humphrey, and Jackson rotating at corner.
