🏈 Fluker in Summer drills: updates?

Thanks. That's great news.

Someone on another site said they heard he was "dominating", although they didn't cite any sources. Have you heard anything of his performance thus far?

I think it is a little premature to say anyone is dominating anything at this stage. Probably best to wait for fall camp and let them put on some pads before talk of dominating performances.

I think it's safe to say Javy is dominating. haha

I've heard numerous people say no one can catch Kenny Bell. Also hearing the staff wants Richardson to lose some weight. He apparently reported over 230 of all muscle. WOW. Atchison has bulked up a lot as well.

I think some of these things were from that thread on Tidesports.

While Trent needs to loose a little weight, I also hear Kenny Bell still needs to add some.

Also Woodson is probably gonna redshirt because of a shoulder injury.

The problem with this Chris is if Woodson's shoulder injury was enough to keep him out of action in 2009 the staff more than likely would be seriously looking at surgery. And, I haven't heard anything about that.

I've not seen anything on Tidesports due to not visiting it other than at times when I'm really bored. In itself, that forum isn't a lot different than most when it comes to stories being posted there that have been read elsewhere.

Bell could use some weight, sure. He played last year at a 170-180 range. That said, he's got the speed where he's going to get past a few. His role, like many others, will be decided in summer camp and fall practice - certainly not in summer skel drills.

Trent reporting at 230 is getting close to linebacker size. It's not a great concern of mine...August will take it off.

230 sounds perfectly fine to me since it's all muscle. Doesn't LSU have Scott? Didn't Saban have a 225-230 lb HB at LSU when he was here? I'll take a Christian Okoye any day!

Yeah, believe me I don't post over there...it was just linked on another site I lurk on. He seemed to be there for the summer camps and had a lot of opinions rather than real news.

Here it is if you're interested:

He said something about speaking to Rod, but it's about as credible as me posting it here.

Question/Concern: How long does it take a 17/18 year old athlete who competes in weight lifting to add 10 pounds of muscle? The reason I ask is because, IF that extra 10lbs is to be an issue, why then did someone not communicate to the guy that 220 was the desired reporting weight?

The only way to lose 10lbs of muscle is through letting it waste away through no use, with is the last thing that needs to happen at this point.

A positive spend is that mass generally adds to durability, which a true Freshman RB coming into the SEC can use by the TRUCK load.

Any thoughts from the peanut gallery?

Without knowing the percentage of body fat that's a question that can't be answered.

I'm not real worried about his reported weight. He may have lost a step or two but I"ll take a 15 yard burst any day of the week.

Keep in mind most of the reports are usually a little off or exaggerated. Either way, a lot of Trent's weight is in his legs. From what I've heard it's not his speed they are worried about, it's his flexibility. I think he can easily cut 10 pounds in this heat.
