Florida wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator Aubrey Hill has abruptly resigned at the start of fall camp, the team announced Friday. He was one of a handful of coaches named in the Nevin Shapiro report, and it would appear his departure is related to that story.

"Aubrey informed me he was resigning for personal reasons that have nothing to do with the University of Florida,'' coach Will Muschamp said in a statement. "Aubrey didn't want to be a distraction to our team and our football program and he thought it was best for him to move on.

Hill will be replaced by offensive coordinator Brent Pease and graduate assistant Bush Hamdan, former Boise State quarterback.

So sounds like this is a bigger loss in terms of recruiter than coaching. Has to make you wonder where things are going with Miami.

Aubrey was linked to a kid they recruited—Bridgewater I think was his name—so I suspect this is related to the kid, Golden, and Sean Allen.

I'm still a little shocked that Golden had Allen making illegal contacts the first week on the job.

It's going to be interesting to see how hard the NCAA comes down on the Hurricane program. The fire the coach because of violations and the one they bring in starts again, immediately?

All I can say about Stoutland, and Pagnouzzio, is Saban said he had talked with both of them specifically about the allegations. They're still here. I can only take from that what it offers.
