Why is it that I just can't seem to muster an ounce of respect for this SEC team? Watching the game tonight, they have ZERO discipline and all Muschamp can do is barely keep his head from exploding....

They are pitiful. Together with LSU they are costing the conference a lot of respect. This is supposed to be the #3 team in the country and they're getting waxed by a Big Least team. Wife asked me why the Florida players celebrate after a tackle that resulted in a 1st down for UL. All I can answer is stupidity...

Just awful. Louisville has been great especially on D. Love seeing those Gators fans look sad! Especially after the 2 INTs and the fumble.

To think that it should be a 39-10 game if not for the missed FGs .. Boy are we gonna be hearing some SEC trash talk after this game!

I'll tell you, and y'all can tell me I'm delirious. If not for a five or six TO game against UGA, we beat FL in the SECC game, and then they go on to the Sugar to get demoralized by a team searching for respect. That sounds a good bit like Coach Saban's second year. The biggest difference is, as has been noted, the lack of discipline and general thuggish behavior by the Florida team.

RTR,

Tim

WTF I can hear Lou Holtz gleaming. ND is going to crush us because the SEC just ain't what it used to be. LSU, Florida, and MISS State all went down this year in bowl games.

Looks like FL stayed out too late in the French Quarter last night.

And then there's that left tackle being sent home, his replacement injured in the first quarter...

Once upon a time, before nationwide acceptance of SEC dominance, I pulled for SEC teams to win, but it doesn't pain me to watch SEC brethren that do NOT show up ready to play get waxed.
Even the commmentator (the one that looked hungover) last night stated UF looked 'uninterested in being here'.

That being said, props to Louisville for bringing their A-game. Bridgewater has a beautiful pass, and Strong has the defense looking very good. UF came out trying to be violently physical to intimidate Louisville...didn't work.
TEAM play vs. individual peacocking, I'll take the team mentality any day.

You are right but it didn't have any effect on how poorly our defense played that night.
Actually another parallel. Our defense got it together a bit in the second half versus Utah. Gayters made Bridgewater look like a lost Manning brother. They had a terrific pass rush in regular season. Props to 'ville for protecting the passer.

Utah in that Sugar Bowl was after all undefeated, and being honest, a good team that we didn't recognize as such.

I thought Florida would be good next year, a worthy contender to play in the SEC Championship. Now, I think they're nothing but a bunch of chest beating thugs. What a disgrace. Muschamp should be ashamed.

Florida losing is not good for the SEC or Alabama because in college football you are graded on a curve with your conference. So if your conference stinks then your team could be deemed to stink as well...

The two other upper tier teams in the SEC: LSU and Florida lost___ Not good for the SEC.

So far the teams that Notre Dame has already played are 3-4 in their bowl games with a couple yet to play...

So far teams that Alabama has already played are 1-4 in Bowl games with a couple yet to play...

So far the SEC has won about half of its Bowl games with several still yet to play.

Does this mean anything, no, but will someone in the media try to make it mean something___ YES!

I try to always pull for the SEC in OOC matchups, as I realize the strength of the SEC is very important for Bama in situations like last year (and this year) when we need it to get us back in the big game. However, I'm not sorry to say that I went into last night fully rooting for UL and feeling pretty confident that UF would find a way to choke. I thought this as soon as the match-up was announced. Absolutely HILARIOUS to read the ranting over the last few weeks by UF fans about the AUDACITY and disrespect of being matched up against UL...particularly when they shouldn't be playing in the Sugar Bowl anyway because they SHOULD be going to Miami.. and how they would never travel to New Orleans for such a pointless event. WHAT A JOKE. They nearly blew it against every cupcake they played this year. Bunch of thugs. And they continue to be one of the most penalized teams, season after season. Even getting dominated by UL, they still found ways to act like thugs and embarrass themselves by celebrating after every defensive stop, which were few and far between. This "upset", if you want to call it that (though myself and plenty of others saw it coming), couldn't happen to a better group.

It was a rough game to watch. It sucks the SEC is 3-3 so far in bowl games. I never want to see any of our teams, except for Auburn or UT lose games to inferior opponents. SEC is the best conference.

MSU went from We Believe to Yup We Still Underacheive. LSU had zero business losing that game. They are screwed and stuck with Miles' inability to coach and understands what clock management means. And now Florida and their notoriously undiciplined team. It has been their M.O. For a while. Their defense looked more interested in killing someone with head to head contact than their were with actually stopping them on drives. And that offense!! W..T..F was that? Driskel was freaking horrible and the rest of the team looked lost. This was worse than the Utah/Bama upset by a long shot. Just no excuse for them to come out like that. National Championship dreams crushed my ass. I never bought into that stock this season nor should UF but you see what happens when you don't show up.

Hoping A&M and Old Piss win theirs and of course hope we bring back the ball. Go SEC
