West Virginia wide receiver Jacky Marcellus and Florida defensive back J.C. Jackson were two of three people injured in a shooting on Christmas Eve in Immokalee, Florida.
Marcellus and Jackson were both in a car with Jackinson Marcellus, Jacky's older brother, when they were being followed by a red car. The three stopped their car to allow the red car to pass by, but when they did the red car opened fire on their vehicle.
According to a police spokesman, Jacky Marcellus was shot in the back while a bullet grazed the eyelid of Jackson. Jackinson Marcellus was shot in the face below his eye. All three were discharged from a local hospital on Friday.
The trio were in town for Christmas.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
