I can accept the pass interference call but the personal foul was worse than the UGA celebration penalty. The guy was defending himself from being blocked.

I hope that the NCAA are not involved in investigating questionable calls. If they are then they will say that the poor officiating is due to Alabama's repeat offender status. :lance:

I had seen the PI call, which was a joke, but had missed the personal foul call. It is an even bigger joke...

Just like after the UGA game these refs will be referring this coming week, and will not face any consequences and this will get even worse. Unless the SEC does something
about this

SEC officiating has long been bad, but it really seems worse this year - we've already had two games where the horrible calls came late in the game and really could have had a big impact in the outcome. I've long been one that believes that teams can play 'through' bad officiating, but wonder what the answer is to fix this.

Maybe the SEC should allow coaches 2 challenges/game for challenging calls?

The two bad calls on Arkansas could not be challenged so it would have not helped in this case. It also wouldn't have helped in the UGA/LSU game so it's apparent we need refs who have better, no, much better judgment!

I know you are taking the high road here but what was done to Arkansas was wrong. Fact of the matter, just like UGA versus LSU, you put yourself in a position to win and your defense was playing damn good. The refs handed that game to UF and should be suspended for that call.

TID you are showing class in your response here, but I hope that Petrino has said a mouth full to the SEC office about this. When I saw the flag for PI I thought they were going to call offensive interference. In an intense game like that one there are always places where you might have done something better, but there is no reason for the officials to be aiding and abetting the defending NC. If Tebow really is Superman he doesn't need stuff like that.

He talked about the bad calls on his TV show last night. I doubt he or our AD will get anywhere with this one.

I dunno if that's enough. I'm sick of crap officiating across in the SEC and across the country. It is getting worse every year too.

Kinda makes me think the game was rigged. Ive been watching football for over 50 years and ive never seen calls on the field that bad

This is the same crew that officiated the UGA-LSU game. God help us if we play w/ them officiating.

They should be suspended IMHO.
