| FTBL Five teams that could challenge USC

That's at a lot of what I've read here.

OK.. im def gonna get ripped for this but who cares.. PURPLE! GOLD! If the Pirates of ECU in my hometown Greenville, NC go undefeated AND win their conference championship (needing convincing conference victories not just barely scraping by) then honestly there`s NO WAY you won`t be able to not consider them to play for the national championship.. cuz by then there will be teams in the top 10 who will fall, so i say there`s a chance.. and i honestly think a USC/ECU national championship would be electric and the Pirates can def pull out more magic if by then they make it to that stage.. so what am i saying? simply, if ECU can get to the national championship game they WILL win it all! GO PIRATES!!

Secondly, Conference USA isn't a BCS conference. For that reason alone they don't sniff the BCS conference game.

When I read the title to this article I wondered who would be on the list. I figured OU would, but was curious if Mizzou would as well. They were, but the reasoning behind their selection is a case of the "author" talking about of both sides of his mouth.

Why they'd beat USC: Chase Daniel orchestrates one of the most dangerous offenses in college football.

Why they'd lose to USC: Their offensive and defensive lines would be overwhelmed by the bigger, faster Trojans.

An overwhelmed offensive line doesn't equate to a dangerous offense.

I know that this has been said a thousand times so, Ill say it a thousand and one.
I just don't see how being the best team out of your crappy conference gets you a number one spot on the polls. This message is for the University of Southern California. You know nothing about being Southern and if and when you make it to the the BCS National Championship game there will be a true southern team waiting to give you that loss that is just.

Yeah, or maybe, just maybe...they could get knocked off in their tough conference schedule, by a team like... Stanford?
