In Saturday's game thread I put the over/under for people complaining about Texas hitting those quick patterns at six. If Texas gets a decent number in the YAC box? We might have to bump that to 10.

I had last week's pretty much spot on. This week I think we try a quick hitter to Burton or Preston and let them see what they can do with the ball out in the boundary.
It's like Saban's HS CG. He asks the coach what play to run on the last and deciding play of the game. Coach tells him it is his call but that he has an All-State RB and an All-State WR so at the end of the play he expects the ball to be in the hands of one of them.
For the last several years a play-action pass by Bama has gone for a first down or a TD. Almost. Every. Time. First play. Last play. Any play.
With Texas certainly expecting a run, I would expect to see a play-action pass play. A legit play-action whereby Young damn near has to take the ball away from the RB. Not a half-ass fake handoff.
It was rough call, receiver was nearby but defender was obviously less covered and the better option. Basically he rolled out had 2 receivers and 4 defenders in a small area to the short side of the field and just threw it into the glob right to the defender. A couple plays before that they tried a long bomb with a wide open WR who ended up having to stop the safety from picking it off. Ball was way underthrown and not on target.
