All I know about this story:
  • They aren't winning.
  • The coach went on some rant last week
  • He was fired.
Another note on this one...before UArk finally settled on Cal, Tang was in the mix for that position. As I recall he ended up getting a raise, or an extension, or both because of their opening in Fayetteville. While I watched that job opening I didn't pay much attention to him as a candidate.

Fired for cause and Tom Mars enters the picture; again.

I just scratched the surface. I was just referencing his ā€œstrong ass offerā€ for paying guys.

Oh, most definitely. While reading isn't one of the five senses, it should be. The LSU administration can't "read the room." (In fairness to you, the comment here was responding to a remark I made in a different thread: merged with this one.)

It's the cliche "the media will built a person up just to wait in the wings to tear them down (sic)" I cant escape, I don't think they group will be "built up," but there will be a HUGE spotlight on the program. I don't see an avenue that's well lit; just a dark path they are walking.
