šŸˆ šŸ”„ Hot Seat 2025 / Coaching Carousel: OL Coach Kap and Alabama part ways

Heard AJ talking on his and Trent's podcast, and he said it well I thought. We just ran out of gas at the end of the season. I think our offense performed too poorly for the defense to keep their intensity.
Coach Saban always talked about perseverance, being able to finish. While this intangible is present, we don’t always tap into the right resources or do what we must to achieve it. Human nature takes over, in short, we don’t want ā€œit ā€œ badly enough. Yes we ran out of gas because we made too many withdrawals along the way and not enough deposits when the time was right.

We ran out of gas because of injuries.

Yeah. Ran low. ..... Then out. ........ And when your whole offense ( qb) is getting crushed..........Play after play after play.....
And thats also a negative on nil....depth.....it will be hard to sustain.....if you can't control n finish games........

But ....its same for everyone....

If I'm correct, your math is wrong. They're already paid for 2025.
Roach should keep his AHC title and move to linebackers coach.. Then hire a D line coach.. Problem solved..

Yes it's the same for everyone, we didn't play to our potential. We maxed out during the historic run mid season and had very little left to finish season strong. I put this on players, more top 100 recruits than anyone etc. "I'll make my money win or lose, so why tax myself", NIL attitude. Welcome to the new world of college athletics....

Slackers creedo: "Pays the same".

I know NFL player contracts are extremely complex and offer incentives for individual statistical accomplishments. But aren't NFL players also offered bonuses for every postseason game their team wins, in escalating amounts, culminating with a Super Bowl victory bonus? If so, does anyone know if universities are doing the same with NIL deals, to help reward team success and not just individual accomplishment???

They did in the 60’s. Announcers would always say, the winners get $5,000 per man, the losers $2500…something along those lines.
