At this point, finding a guy thay can do his job is a homerun hire. Coaching circles are a joke really. It's probably as bad as wildcatting. One hit makes you a name, but then you can miss every other time and never strike again but keep getting jobs. USC and New England sucked the last handful of years, so what's the say about this guy? I'm literally asking because I have no clue.

Because there is zero effing consistency. You're an absolute fool if you think our line is close to it's potential or where it needs to be. Getting bent over on live television and being made to quit makes you foolish for giving this staff credit. Hey James Madison, Tulane, and Texas Tech made the Playoff too, so we weren't in rarified air. Even a blind squirrel can find a nut every once in a while. A program like Alabama should be a mainstay in the Playoff, and we have no clue if that will or will not happen, but it leans more towards not happening with the way we lose games.

Coaching is indeed a very close knit profession. Iā€™ve personally seen guys fall all the way into an HC position based off of who they know. Seen others get blackballed for standing up for what is right and not falling in step, no questions asked.

Not sure if I've ever seen a profession that can fall upwards as much as coaching. I mean, working for the right guy gets you ten years of opportunities. A winning season or one star playing and those guys can sell fools gold to programs. Look at Commerce in Georgia. Hired the coach from Collins Hill that had Travis Hunter and felt he was a homerun hire because of one player and results from when he was in school. I watched that guy go 2-8 this year at a single A school and simply looked lost as heck when I watched from the sideline a couple of games. One stud player bought him recognition and folks think he's catch fire twice.

Because the standard us higer than just getting there it is winning it. I expected it would take time for CKD (2-4 years) but I did not expect the non sense we have seen in how they have lost games. That is a problem and why Alabama is viewed as something like 17th in the polls this year because others see it also. It does not create confidence in the future but hey I will continue to hope CKD is the man until it is painfully obvious he is not.

I've accurately assigned the "Humanist" label to you so this seems like something you would understand. Quickly, in fact.

In the world of actions and consequences you'll agree that "your world" consists of pretty much what you make of every circumstance. In this "world" you've just witnessed 15 case examples where, in all 15, fans have chosen to begin their week (Sunday's) with twice as much energy focused on the negatives.

Around the halfway mark in this season I pointed out "energy vampires; " that's not the lack of a better expression. It was a comment on how fans were allowing the fun to be drained from their season and they were the ones pulling the plug.

With all that in mind, is it asinine or habitual?

And that team loses to 6-6 acc ..thats ACC ( conference many make fun of) team...and blown out twice...only salvation..TY...and battered..he became soft....

KD is a very good recruiter...bama name is strong...those loses will be diminished....eventually....

Making 12 team cfp is not a moment of greatness for bama...our draw in round 1 was gratuitous....Oklahoma really sucked...

Year 3....is the make or break...and getting a run game is critical...an Olinecoach with this purchased line...messing it...developing it...guys that coached on here.....know its got to function as a unit....

Ms50+ is pissed...she wants bama Football back where it belongs...thats what she told me anyway

That's why I'm not big fan of "homerun hire term" It create false illusions for many of the fans out there. If I hear that Alabama hire Sam Pittman as OL, So many fans would celebrate that hire and call it homerun hire. But the reality in me would be concerned with that hire, because I would have so many questions regarding his coaching style and how he would fit with the offense. People just want Alabama to hire someone because of their name and what they're known for, not necessarily know the inside and outside of what scheme they use, and how they coach their players.

Adrian Klemm is actually solid hire. I don't think he'll be a primary OL coach. Not a homerun hire, but it's exactly what Alabama offense needs to get back on track. I understand they will hire one more coach within OL. Either way, this guy is legit. When he's not dealing with his issues, I think he can get most out of his guys and that's all we need at this point. Someone to coach them up.

Now, next thing after hiring one more OL coach. Work on the RB coach and then Get Grubb to go all over United states and study offense with different teams, have people tell him his playcalling sucks at times. It would do Grubb good to lend on running game little more this fall.

Building the O line this year and getting RBs....that are skilled.....thats ALL our hope.
Then maybe we will see the real Grubb...
( sometimes i surprise myself with the blind optimism)

Not being pessimistic.....KD has certainly learned a bunch about SEC football....he will have to apply all that knowledge to survive 2026....

I don't think we've seen a true Grubb offense just yet. I think we've seen a glimpse of it throughout the season. When the running game isn't working, then something gotta give. Gotta get creative. Coaching staff saw the issues before we all did. They're not dumb.
