Which brings my comment.I'm just being honest... If 100% of all of you guys had your own team, you would want to run that team.. Kelly would've been forced to keep the untouchables on his team.. probably going over his head all the time

If you have a job you answer to someone and you do things you don't really want to do.I'm just being honest... If 100% of all of you guys had your own team, you would want to run that team.. Kelly would've been forced to keep the untouchables on his team.. probably going over his head all the time
If that's the case.... The job isn't right for you.If you have a job you answer to someone and you do things you don't really want to do.
I'm in the middle of grabbing some screen shots from U2 "Where the Streets Have No Name" for the mag for EPP...literally, just had a conversation with the writer about the cops on the scene. "They didn't want to do it..." Wild, K.If you have a job you answer to someone and you do things you don't really want to do.
If I was the head football coach, IT WOULD BE MY STAFF... not a staff chosen by the athletic Director... not retreads like Frank Wilson... are you the head coach or not?... apparently Woodward's bullying didn't work.. because now BRIAN Kelly is $54 million richer... and hopefully he will not negotiate at all...If you have a job you answer to someone and you do things you don't really want to do.

You are right about this... The media is the one that said over and over that Saban didn't trust Davis... Hell I wanted him back myself..His results were undeniableBo Davis got some terrible advice while Saban was out of town and made a poor decision. Saban didn't want him gone, but understood. Ain't no telling how many coaches have "lied" to Saban about stuff, but that particular time, compliance was in the middle of it so it blew up. The fact Saban wanted him back at UA should tell you all there is to know. Yes, on Freeze and Pruitt, the SEC advised against bringing them in, but they didn't stop UA from doing it. UA advised auburn not to sure Pearl when he was under his show cause, but that didn't stop them. Now on Pruitt, later on, he himself made things more difficult with his decisions to file lawsuits, that is true too.
I'll also reiterate, I'm personally not sold that this Kelly/Woodard thing went down like some reported it (with demands). I'll leave it at that other than (again) to say those things do happen... admittedly, much less to a coach like Saban who swung the bat that he wielded. Which is why he's not a great example to bring up. But few very few coaches have the power that he had... and even still, he got overruled at times.
He sounds like Dabo Jr in the making.

Okay. I'm done.
Yikes for them... Beamer should go there and Franklin should go to Carolina![]()
James Franklin to Virginia Tech rumors keep heating up and fans are dreaming big
It has been almost 50 days since Virginia Tech fired Brent Pry following a disappointing Week 3 loss at home to Old Dominion. Interim coach Philip Montgomery hafightinggobbler.com
Okay. I'm not done. You don't think these things through.Yikes for them...
I always appreciated and liked Frank Beamer. That came with the realization he didn't have much in the charisma department. Yet, that worked with Va Tech in spite of the "couch burning reputation" their fan base carries.
I see Franklin and Beamer 'neck to neck' in their race for the most charisma which leads me to think that might be a good landing spot. (May not have been the best use of a cliche there...)
Agree with all of that, but the additional piece is the AD had already been given some direction by the governor, which could've been, "get rid of the HC".Saban didn't resign when UA told him he had to fire Bo Davis. He also didn't resign when UA told him he couldn't hire Hugh Freeze or (rehire) Jeremy Pruitt.
I'm not defending Woodward here, as you mentioned, his poor decisions played a role in all of it. But AD's make "suggestions" or "demands" all the time, in all sports (if that is actually what happened in this case). Foley made the strong suggestion to Napier last year that he relinquish his play calling duties and just focus on being the HC. Napier declined and stuck with that he wanted to do. Things didn't improve, so he got fired.
Now that you've made your way through those two booster groups you have your biggest task at hand. How do you handle the political power Woodward holds in the state of Louisiana if you're going to fire him?

If there is one fact in the SEC. NO ONE knows what's going to happen at LSU. Period with emphasis.
