And we could see schools doing this now to get ahead of on hiring coaches...Florida and Auburn could jump the gun this weekend.

If you know you're going to fire than anyway, and it doesn't cost much more to do it, now (or soon) is the time so that the portal window has little to no impact.

Not sure how their contracts are written, but both have major buyout hurdles (on the surface). We're talking potentially paying out $100 million before they even sign the new guy.... in other words, unheard of and then some.

Also add on to this by saying he'd be a candidate we'd look at, he personally wouldn't be my first choice. But he'd be a good hire.

Depending on who Penn State hires, I would think they would try to retain him unless that coach felt otherwise about him.
