I think Locksley isn't a bad coach. Its hard to win at Maryland given the NIL deals. They start fast but often struggle down the road.

Maryland has a rich benefactor in Under Armour. The founder went to Maryland. They had the upper hand in uniform negotiations because they were local (in Baltimore). The school has gone through a number of conflicts over the years (Byrd Stadium - named after a former athlete, coach and president - was renamed Maryland Stadium and now SECU Stadium - after it was claimed that Byrd supported segregation). The school now has a reputation of social upheaval that many potential sponsors don’t want to touch (can any tell me what SECU is?). SECU certainly doesn’t have any national awareness.

I think he will be looked at closely by auburn, but doubt he gets an offer (unless at least a couple of others say no). But if it were me, he'd be a hard pass.
