I wonder how the DL stuff is going to play out. I know Freddie is still listed as DL coach.....but wasn't Jamey Mosely brought in as DL coach as well?
Mosley just left, he is one off the analysts/position assistants that will have to be replaced.

Eating the buyouts of these guys is tuff. I think we lost 900k on the OL coach and the special team's guy will be around 500kSo we will be sticking with our ST coach?![]()
Looking forward to another season of fair catches of punts and starting inside the 20 after kickoff returns.Eating the buyouts of these guys is tuff. I think we lost 900k on the OL coach and the special team's guy will be around 500k
Are you sure?Eating the buyouts of these guys is tuff. I think we lost 900k on the OL coach and the special team's guy will be around 500k
I really really like this hire. This tell me that they're serious about fixing the running game.
I can't say for certain but my guess is it'll be like last season... 1 main OL coach (Klemm) and 2 offensive line assistants/analysts to help in practices and such. They'd have to replace one of them though, Kirk Barron, who went with Shephard to Oregon State to be his main OL coach.
I've seen the speculation/rumors that another OL "on the field" coach will be hired... maybe so, but I haven't heard that from anyone that I talk to. I think it might be more likely that whoever is hired as TE coach, has some OL coaching in the background but that's just a guess.
Me too. I don't know what this means for RB coach. Hopefully he get a chance to show what he can do with retooled OL line. Now, we gotta fix the Special team issues.I really really like this hire.

I actually think Roach improved and you could tell. And the defensive line issues
Iām just using the eye testā¦we havenāt had a good DL in yearsā¦at least not to the level it should be. That started under Saban, so not blaming CKD. Roach is a holdover and it hasnāt looked good to meā¦I actually think Roach improved and you could tell.
I'm trying to remember the last really good D-Lineman that we've had. Maybe Phil Mathis?I actually think Roach improved and you could tell.
Agree. And we didnāt get a lot of push against Georgia nor Indiana at the end of the season. They both are our lunch, at least from my seat.I'm trying to remember the last really good D-Lineman that we've had. Maybe Phil Mathis?
My point is that a group of talented linemen will make a coach look MUCH better!
If I remember correctly, Mathis stayed forever (5-6 years?) and barely contributed. I'd say Barimore. Even he was inconsistent, but he could be dominant at times. Noticed him playing in the Super Bowl.I'm trying to remember the last really good D-Lineman that we've had. Maybe Phil Mathis?
Heard AJ talking on his and Trent's podcast, and he said it well I thought. We just ran out of gas at the end of the season. I think our offense performed too poorly for the defense to keep their intensity. And we didnāt get a lot of push against Georgia nor Indiana at the end of the season.
