Justin Fields is announcing this morning at 11est at Harrison during their pep rally. Only officially visited Alabama and LSU, but has made more than a few visits to Georgia. His sister is going to Georgia for softball I believe, but could be wrong. I know Bone said highly unlikely for us, but you never know with Saban they say.

If what people have said is true about him, he won't be selecting BAMA. Kid wants to play early. He won't find it here with Jalen and Tua. I doubt he finds it at UGA either!! Eason and Fromm, sophomore and freshman respectively, aren't going anywhere soon. FSU doesn't seem to be the place either, Francois will be a junior next year and it is unlikely he leaves early.

I agree. What he says kind of contradicts other things he says, which I also think is part of him playing the recruiting game. All of the schools he likes have quarterbacks that won't be going anywhere for a bit, except LSU which he could win. He will not unseat Fromm at Georgia. He is better than Eason, but Fromm is building on his fortune of Eason being hurt and I seriously doubt he will relinquish the position. So I think Fields needs to just figure out where he wants to be and then be ready to go in and compete. Anymore, these power programs have depth for the most part and these recruits will need to come in and fight. Look at Clemson and what they have at quarterback with Bryant, Johnson, and Lawrence coming in.

Agree! It does look as though UGA will be the pick. 3-4 crystal ball picks recently for UGA on Fields. I seriously think he probably should have stuck with Penn State, McSorley will be a senior next year and the job would be his. Guessing too far from family played a role.

Things have a way of changing at QB spots. Backups transfer, starters get hurt or become ineffective. I can't imagine him diving into the LSU dumpster fire, but it is one of his top 4. Harrison is right down the road from me, but I haven't heard anything from locals on where he's going. UGA fans think he's headed their way. FSU was reportedly in good shape with him, but he's committing today without ever taking an official visit down there. aubrun could be the dark horse that provides quick playing time. If he commits, I think it'll be a done deal that Eason transfers at the end of the season.

RTR,

Tim

I was going to ask where your kids went, but I feel like you mentioned Kennesaw Mountain before, which is a stone's throw away from Harrison as it is. Sadly, I don't feel like many of the locals understand what they have in Fields and what he means to recruiting and the rest of the country and its programs. Yeah, I can't imagine LSU gets him due to everything going on there. Georgia is definitely cocky about it from the Dawg fans I speak with. Like you said, hard to think he goes to Florida State without ever taking an official. Auburn has cooled from everything I have read, though like you said it is the perfect offense for him and Stidham has one more year where he could learn. It'll be interesting to find out.

That's why I thought he would be headed to cowtown. I hope that's true about everything cooling off there. Maybe he sees the potential for a coaching change like the one that could happen in Red Stick next year. If he has to play early, he's better off going to F$U.
