I have yet to figure that **** out!!
Was it called the Walk of Champions before the 1962 team donated the arch to Ole Miss?

As I recall (this is going back to our high school years  ) Brewer started this back in the early 80's? The first time I heard about this "WOC" was in 1989 when Bama played in Oxford. I was living in Memphis, dating a girl that went to Ole Miss, and we used to drive down often. Her college friends couldn't believe I was so dead set against Curry being the Bama head coach even though the Tide had just beaten Ole Miss ...gosh, I can't recall the exact score but it was close to a 40 point win.

Geez, this is hard to remember ...

I don't think Billy Brewer named it the "Walk of Champions" when he started that tradition. I think it took that title when the arch was donated. I think ...

@TerryP , the '89 game was like 62-24 I believe. We fell behind 21-0 and then Gary Hollingsworth lit the Rebels up!!
Yep, that'd be it. That game changed the perception of how good Hollingsworth really was if you ask me. I can't tell you how many I've seen brag on his time in Tuscaloosa. Everyone remembers 1989, no one wants to remember 1990.

Idle thought just crossed my mind so I went and look. Hollingsworth threw for 3842 yards over two seasons ... while it's not apples to oranges, look where it fits in the record books when Blake's 3487 '14 season is considered.
