It’s a grassroots effort, launched on Facebook, to encourage FSU fans to wear black to Doak Campbell for the Seminoles’ game against Georgia Tech on Saturday night. In doing so, the movement’s creators are hoping to send a message that something needs to change within the FSU football program.

I just don't see this getting any better. I think Coach Bowden calls it a career at the end of this season simply because he doesn't want to listen to the bickering and back-biting anymore.

I think some fans have been calling for him to step down for a few years. After trying other avenues they are venting their frustrations. Kind of like when Bama fans started wearing brown paper bags over their heads in Shula's last year.

I agree its a little over the top. But the school has already hired a replacement, why not offer Bowden a different role and let Jimbo take over. Yes, he's a legend but he is going to start ruining his legacy.

I equate it to Richard Petty. He won his 200th (and final race in 1984) and continued to race through 1992. In those 8 years he was not competitive at all and in my eyes ruined his legacy as the King.

Legends should know when to step aside.
