Tickets isn't the issue, I just can't go this weekend. Ole Miss is a fun road trip though.

been once....stayed up at state park around there... was a fun trip...
Had cabin...with mom n dad... n family...

My oldest works at a hotel here part time while going to school.

The hotel is packed for what it's worth, probably 90% booked every day. Most of the time they sell all rooms by the evening.

College Station as an example, has a massive hotel shortage...always has.

You can't solve this last minute.

but the casinos around tunica are begging for people...

things can be solved( most of time..(.like the covid attendance...or football at all..or rescheduled games...see lsu-missouri game moved.....).....if they wanna be.... thats my only point...
Maybe this could or maybe not....
It seems some don’t believe that...and ...bam...its done again and again.... because its wanted to-be done....it needs to be done...and can be done...

Yeah their fans rank just behind UGA's IMO, at the worst in the league. Though it's mostly their younger fans.

You're in a major hub city if you're talking Dallas-Fort Worth, so I would imagine with travelers, business and such they would be. Just like Atlanta. Tuscaloosa is slammed on normal game weekends too, so that doesn't shock me about College Station. Aren't hospitality companies also fighting for a bailout with the airlines? To me it seems like a lot need the business. Our team doesn't stay in the town they are playing, do they? I always thought they stayed thirty minutes to an hour away except for like bowl game and neutral site games. I'm not saying you're wrong, because you clearly have more knowledge than me with a kid working there, but I just can't see Oxford or Tunica being the same as Dallas, Texas. Especially with decreased capacity and no tailgating. That being said, my boss was able to get a hotel room in Tuscaloosa for the Georgia game last week, so that tells you right there demand is down for even our biggest game this year.

Meteorologists advised the schools that kicking off in that window would minimize the chance for severe weather. When the system gets that far inland, the worst weather isn't at the center of the disturbance any longer as it would be during landfall.

I understand all of that. You can't bump other guests, so you call another hotel. Hotels need the business and would most likely be willing to hold two floors for that potential payday with a 24 hour heads up. Put a deposit down, I'm sure there are funds.

Does Tunica not still have casinos with large conference rooms for meetings and plenty of rooms? They used to because I have seen both, but that was ten years ago.

I don't expect two hotels per roadtrip normally, but what if three days before we play LSU the hotel staff gets the virus? This season is a time where you double up and have contingency for every possibility? We always hold Alabama in a clout that is ahead of the curve and everyone else, so I would think in this situation as well we have enough clout to make it a reality. And look at it, a situation is already showing it can happen third game into the season.

You're assuming rooms. I've headed none. Been the point from the start.

You can't spread the team out through an entire hotel. They can't be moving people.
