Special teams is a complete disaster! Not only can we not cover a kickoff or punt, we can't even block correctly when we receive one. I've seen some bad special teams from Alabama over the years, but this might be the worst I've ever seen.

punt coverage has been very good actually. kickoff coverage was actually better imo this week but good god at all the horrible penalties on punt return. Julio broke at least 3 big returns with 2 of them getting called back for horrible penalties, at least one of them (i didnt see the other one) wasnt even necessary. alot of mental errors tonight.

Yup that one block in the back where Julio was pretty much out of range for the SC player was stupid!! hell even a basketball style pick would of been sufficient. That one drove me up the friggin wall. I can't remember who it was. Reamer has another one tonight. I would of figured by now they would of understood what a block in the back means but apparently they still don't get it lol.

well he had 5 returns for 70 yards so i would say so.

With our Defense limiting much of a change in field position by opponent's Offenses, just cutting out the penelties would be a huge advantage. I'd be OK with a fair catch once-in-a-while would not kill us.

Simple instruction to blockers would help. Like: "Son, I know you can't READ the players name on the back of his jersey, but if you can SEE his name, don't hit him."
