I know....shocking right? This was a response on Scab's article on al.com about GMAC.

Let me get this straight. He is undefeated as a FIRST YEAR starter on a team that will play in the SEC CG and probably play in the BCS CG. What, exactly, is the problem? Maybe you would be happier with someone like Case Keenum, who has astronomical numbers but lost to UTEP.
With the criticism he gets while being undefeated, it's scary to think what would happen if he actually lost a game. Wake up Bama fans. Life is good.

Is he a good game manager? Yes
Does he get us beat with bad decisions? No
When given time has he shown to be accurate? Yes and the numbers would reflect so even more if not for a number of dropped passes.
Could he improve in certain areas? Yes but who couldn't.

Overall it boils down to this team believes in Greg as do the coaches which is what they are payed for. Fans are going to be fans and the majority of people still think the grass is always greener somewhere else. Does this mean that we can not as fans express our concerns about areas of the team we support? Absolutely not but lets also keep in mind that coming into this year our two glaring questions were our OL and our QB situation and up to this point both have done a pretty good job and compliment each other very well at times.

On another note. could you imagine our team with Case Keenum with our running game, Our defense, our kicker, our punt returner. From the looks of it. We should allways have a top notch defense, offensive line, and running game. it will be scary once Coach Saban gets a quarterback of top 10 quality. We may have it with AJ or Phillip you never know but, I look forward to that team.

So true. First Year QBs are not supposed to be doing this well.

Consider the question marks that everyone had about Bama at the beginning of the year, QB was one of them. A week removed from October and already secured the SEC West. Undefeated. Many folks favorite for the NC.

Simply stated, THIS IS OUR BEST CASE SCENARIO REGARDING QUARTERBACKS.

Yeah I talked to an "Alabama fan" at the doctors office today that thinks McElroy isn't the real deal that Saban is being to hard on him making him uncomfortable blah blah blah.. my reponse was that I was not going to complain about 452 yards of total offense against a LEGIT top ten team from a first year starter.

Greg is the best QB we have had since Brodie Croyle. He has a lot of potential.

I know a lot of folks will disagree with this, and some may even blast me for it, but I think Greg McElroy is best QB we've had since probably Richard Todd.

I have to say that Jay Barker did a great job of doing what his role was set out to be, which as I recall was to allow the playmakers around him to do their thing. Its simple, but he was great at it. Consider his Win/Loss record.

I love GMac and his potenial...big fan, but he is still rising as a star which says much about a first year QB in the SEC.
