🏈 ESPN's Stuart Scott passed

Tragic! Cancer sux.

The video in the link above is about fifteen minutes or so. It is definitely worth the time to watch. Stu was a professional, but he also knew how to have fun on the air. I really liked him.

Stu was a professional, but he also knew how to have fun on the air.

One thing about him that I liked was he was an unabashed UNC fan. He let anyone, and everyone, know even when he was anchoring SC. However, you didn't see him take it to the "homer" level we've seen in the last few years with some of their newer personalities.

If I'm not mistaken, Stuart got promoted to the main ESPN (from the only other channel at the time, ESPN2) at the same time or close to when Rich and Rece got the nod. There were a lot less anchors back then. They brought a good new energy and wit to the show. Stuart would come up with some great similes, or whatever you call them... I've only ever heard great things about him. Agree with TerryP on the UNC thing. I've asked Rece before if he would give UA a little love every now and then, he laughs it off.

Here's to a guy that's as cool as the other side of the pillow.
