PSU vs Ole Miss - blowout
Bama vs Miami - likely blowout. (Not impressed with Miami.)
UGA vs ND - blowout
UT vs Boise. - blowout.
Ole Miss, Bama, UGA, and UT advance joining TX for the quarters.
You didn't see any of the top four or mention of the quarterfinals.Didn't see ohio state in ur senerios
Playing non contact football for year(s) eventually catches up to you. Sooner (pun intended) or later the chickens come home to roost.Super Bowl? They need to have their minds set on getting to something like the Birmingham Bowl game.
I can't remember exactly where OU was ranked in the pre-season. I do know it was outside the top fifteen, inside the top twenty: and it was the same in both polls. (I'd have to look it up.)
I know they have Bama and LSU left on their schedule and with two losses they are sitting at home.
Injuries have taken their toll on the Sooners. Their starting RB is questionable, three OL out for the season, another three listed as questionable, WR injuries throughout the season ...
I know Riley didn't leave a lot for a solid program when he left. But, I think we can look at this season and admit one thing, "The SEC schedule beat those guys up."
Some crazy corollaries if you just let your mind wander a bit.Playing non contact football for year(s) eventually catches up to you. Sooner (pun intended) or later the chickens come home to roost.
But oregon n osu cant be given a bye. So osu has to be in first round. Or Oregon. Big 10 winner conference game winnerDidn't see ohio state in ur senerios

Indian Proclamation Act - people entering a new territory.
OU joins the SEC - people entering a new territory.
Sooners - originate from people moving into the new territory before they were allowed so they could take over land.
OU Sooners - thought they could compete in a new territory ....
Their ego's arrived sooner than their football team.
When I posted that tweet it was about the first round matchups. It wasn't about the structure. I said, as it stands today (based on that ranking) that's who would face OSU.But oregon n osu cant be given a bye. So osu has to be in first round. Or Oregon. Big 10 winner conference game winner
So got to project one of them in cfp first round game. So one of 8 that was in our senerio aint gonna make it.
Who is that?
But ur projecting just based on espns probability to make cfps?
Gotta ya. I was interjecting my thoughts. On matchups. When I posted that tweet it was about the first round matchups. It wasn't about the structure. I said, as it stands today (based on that ranking) that's who would face OSU.
In a few hours we'll see how it would shake out if last weekend was the final weekend. It's all a hypothetical.
I saw Staples having Bama as a 3 seed ... seen them projected to face IU.
It's just talk...about different scenarios. C?
I could change the title to any of those games, add 'bowl' to the end...Gotta ya. I was interjecting my thoughts. On matchups.
But for blowouts. I see some possible very interesting n great matchups
Except. The winner lives to play another day...unlike bowls where players sit....oh ...shit...me n u been through this...to many times......I could change the title to any of those games, add 'bowl' to the end...
I'm 100 percent behind the idea of a team advancing to play another day after they just beat the hell out of team whose reward is, "at least you made it there."Except. But you like bowls. Are those matchups better than these? Of course not.I'm 100 percent behind the idea of a team advancing to play another day after they just beat the hell out of team whose reward is, "at least you made it there."
You still miss the point. But you like bowls. Are those matchups better than these? Of course not.
And winner of mayo tonytigertampex bowl in which half dozen key players sit out... Moves on to.....play in their spring game
Totally agree. That is whats happened n continues to happen. You still miss the point.
I don't like seeing adults devalue an experience a college athlete receives for his time playing football. I've said this since day one. You tell someone "it isn't worth anything," kids tend to believe that.
It leads to kids quitting teams because, they heard the adults say, the bowls aren't worth anything.
This is what has happened.
This is like the taste taste between Pepsi and Coca-Cola. The NCAA looking at the NFL.But cfps are a real and growing thing. It.. nil... portal...are reality. The cfps are more exciting. Period. Win or go home.

We would beat the five teams just above us and would love to see us play the other 3 above that.
