🏈 ESPN losing subscribers.

I got the sports package when I signed the contract for this cable company but I think SPEED may have been a basic channel. The only "premium" channels I remember getting because of that package was ESPNU, ESPNews, CBS Sports, and a cpl Fox channels and some stupid spanish channels I could care less about. Oh yeah Big Ten Network I think.

The thing with Regis is the overwhelming feeling any thing he touches that falls in line with a host/guest format will do well.

I've heard him talk football quite a few times and he seems to know what he's talking about outside of reading a teleprompter. His only drawback was the unabashed love for the Domers.

I guess I have to just take your word for it on Regis because I've only heard him talking football once and he refereed to a special teams player as "the special... uh... special guy" lol

I want to see SEC football and select Major League Baseball. I watch ESPN in those instances only. Otherwise, I'm tired of watching ESPN's programming, and Sports Center seems to talk money and contracts and NFL football more than anything. The MLB Network provides all I need for baseball news, so I go long stretches without even watching SC.

Right on, Chief. MLB channel rocks with its coverage. I have to listten to far more soccer coverage than I want to, and dodge the World Series of Poker, to get good baseball info off ESPN.

I haven't watched ESPN in close to a year outside of the times Alabama has been on there. I cannot stand the channel.

For baseball I watch MLB network, for NFL I watch the NFL Network, got soccer I watch Fox Soccer, for college football I watch CBS and CBS Sports Network, hockey I watch NBC (sports network and regular NBC) and the NHL Network. Although for hockey even when ESPN had the rights their coverage of it was piss poor to say the least.

I hope FS1 is good so there's at least some challenge to ESPN.

I just dont get the hate for ESPN that some have. Yes I understand they run certain things into the ground (Tebowmania) but it was the first 24/7 sports news channel and if its breaking news they're going to have it usually first. The documentaries they produce are flat out amazing. They have the best college football coverage on TV and yes there are some dummies like David Greene and Jesse Palmer but also damn good analysts like Kirk Herbstreit, Max Kellerman (not college football really but sports in general), Herm Edwards, Tom Luginbill, etc. Going out of your way not to watch ESPN is just punishing yourself from seeing some great programs imo.

I've seen brief previews to the show and it's hard to get a grasp of the format other than it having five co-hosts and Regis in what appears to be a "moderation" type or role.
