🏈 ESPN Article about first year starting qbs winning championships

First, the article:

First-year starting quarterbacks who can win it all

Now, they gave Coker the credit, but what about McElroy in 2009 (I know the JPW was the starter in 2008) and AJ in 2011 (McElroy was starter in 2009 and 2010). He specifically mentions "since 2009." Am I wrong in thinking this guy didn't do his homework.

It seems a clear error.

Plus, double counting Barrett and Cardale Jones is silly for tOSU. Barrett contributed to the championship, but Jones won it. He started/played in the three biggest games.

Further, his counting Bateman as a new starter seems lazy and solely intent to fit a not well constructed theme.

There was no comment section, so I didn't raise the question there.
There is, you missed seeing the option I suspect. I'm not sure you'd want to be in the comments section when you're joining comments like this one:

Jeb Johnson
Alabama of course. The QB is almost an optional feature on a Saban team. Probably the the least important QB position in all of FBS, yet every year they are legit contenders.

Optional feature?!?! I'm not sure what to make of that opinion. :headscratch:
