Most Ohio State fans and Big Ten fans in general have had their opinion of ESPN sour over the past 20 years or so. There has been a perceived bias that the network started to push, starting around the time "The World Wide Leader in Sports" got into bed with the Southeastern Conference. And it's only gotten worse the more money and focus ESPN has put into the SEC, and as Fox took control of the Big Ten.

ESPN is the flagship station for all things College Football Playoff related. From the CFP ranking reveal on Tuesday nights to airing the playoff games to analysts politicking for SEC teams, the network has become insufferable. And now, even after the Big Ten has won three national titles in a row, one of ESPN's most well-known football analysts is talking nonsense once again.

LSU alum Booger McFarland joined the Dan Patrick Show on Thursday. Patrick asked a question about Lane Kiffin heading to Baton Rouge, which led McFarland to tell us all the reasons (excuses) as to why the Big Ten has caught up to the SEC. He echoes Nick Saban's sentiments that it's because kids won't go north unless they're paid. I'd argue they stayed in the south because they were getting paid under the table when it was illegal to pay college athletes. Now that everyone can pay players, the playing field has been leveled.

However, Booger can't seem to see past his SEC colored lenses, as he makes the outlandish comment, "Make no mistake about it... the best conference in America is still the SEC."

Bowl records and head-to-head matchups, on top of another Big Ten national champion, would suggest otherwise. Until ESPN can have analysts who can be unbiased, it will continue to lose credibility with college football fans. Heck, even Paul Finebaum saw the light recently. At least college football fans outside of the Deep South and the Southeastern Conference.
