Good hit none the less but it wouldn't have been as bad if Maze didn't jump prior to the hit. Jumping in the SEC is just like a invitation to be put in someones highlight reel.
One Auburn back (Tate I believe but not certain) already has had the pleasure to do so. Go back and review this year's UT/AU game if you know a barner who recorded it; Berry was knocked away like a rag doll on one run.
Wish I could find a clip of that. Didn't realize the defender was Berry until the replay.
Speaking off JJ stiff arms, did anyone record or get an pics from one of his returns last night where he stiff armed like 3 people in a row and the last SC guy got it the worst before JJ going out of bounds? I laughed hard at that run. Julio loves to throw the stiff arm haha
i think julio will be an awesome return guy next year.. he doesn't really have the break away speed, but i bet his average will be unreal.. hell, he will get yardage until at least 6 people get to him..
I will admit Berry is great, but he can't do it by himself. After two so so performances in a row I expect , and look for the tide offense to show off this week. RTR!!!!
Eric Berry is one of the few...if not the only...Tennessee player I actually semi-like. The guy is a beast. Also, after Hightower was injured, he asked on his Twitter that everyone keep Dont'a in their prayers. He's a class act.
Or, to have him move in to make a TD stopping tackle only to then figure out how t save his dignity when his perfect tackling form is rewarded with being drug the last 6-8 yards into the endzone.
Ingram says "Rides over. You can get off now Eric. We have to kick the extra point.......No, No, Eric. Your sideline is that way."
EB is the best defensive player in the country but if we're talking about headhunters wearing orange you need to keep an eye out for Jenzen Jackson wearing #15. Also Dennis Rogan runs a 4.3 40 and with about a 15 yard sprint could break most men in half.
Eric Berry is in a class by himself at safety. He can't do it all by himself but he damn sure tries. I have noticed that Monte will line him up in different spots on the field too this year so we need to keep an eye on where this cat lines up at all times.
I personally think Eric Berry is and has been one of the best safetys in the country for most of his career even starting as a true freshmen. I have nothing but respect for him. That being said we will have to get a helment on him or tie him up to keep out of our plays because if he is close, He will make a play/hit on us.Like he hit maze last year, maze was like...."what the hell was that"?
