Let's let Julio Jones be human this week. The guy hasn't even played a down and is already having people want to buy Julio underwear. Give it rest. I am positive that his contributions to the team this year will be enormous, but there is no reason to keep bringing him up. He is NOT going to win the game against Clemson for us. It's gonna take contributions from everyone on the team to make it happen. He's just another football player, guys. A college kid who deserves a normal life, not one filled with outrageous pre-conceived expectations. Roll tide and let's take it to Clemson this week!

I think Ty does have a point though. Julio continues to have unrealistic expectations placed on him and it's only getting worse the closer we get to Clemson. Maybe that's the price of celebrity?

There was a poll regarding Julio and whether or not he'll score his first touchdown against Clemson. I elected not to vote in it. Not because it offended me in any way, but it just seems to me like another example of the Bama Nation putting its hopes and dreams on one kid and hoping they can ride that gravy train to success this season. I just don't want to contribute to that right now. I'd prefer to let Julio (and all of our other exceptional freshmen) get his feet wet first.

FWIW, I personally believe that Julio is NOT the key to us winning or losing this game, regardless of whether or not he scores.

will be playing for clemson, but given talent at clemson, may play 4 plays the whole day. DBowers.

Gulio would be starting for Clemson.

I agree that Julio wont make or break Alabama this game nor this season, though, people expecting me to be great at something never made me(personally) nervous as much as feel more at home.

I am more focuse on all of the new guys playing this year though, however, I can agree that Julio everywhere is a bit much. There are many other great playmakers on our team(both new and returning), and it could be moderated a bit.

In the end, I dont mind just hyping Julio, but I am also the type that wont hold it against him if he cant live up to it right away(or this season for that matter)

So I dunno, moderate it?

Here is my take, I ain't moderating nothing that talks good about the University of Alabama or Julio Jones. Period. All I got to say is MARK INGRAM!!!!!!

Oh Lord!

Folks, hide the chillin's...'bout to get rough here.

I believe it will be a gross under-utilization of his God-given responsibility if Julio Jones (aka The Christ)scores less than 5 touchdowns in our certain victory this Saturday.
I didn't rename all 3 of my children Julio for nothing. He better score, and score a lot!

Just kidding! Julio will be fine.
