šŸˆ Enos among the names mentioned for Tennessee's offensive coordinator position

Certainly remembering incorrectly. His stance was "don't count Jalen out." It was specifically spelled out that way.

If he's ever under oath, he can be as intellectually dishonest as he wants to be. He can even have a mouthpiece that can masterfully argue what he really meant Around here most got the jest of the Jalen/Tua QB argument. It only went on for 7 months.

Odd... when I made that observation when everyone talked about Tua's all-word performances in mop up duty last year you guys crucified me.

Does that mean you feel you were correct, somehow? Pretty sure you also prophesied that Tua was going to spray it around the field and make lots of risk/reward type of throws this season. Then I got the distinct impression that we were going to get one of those "I told you so" type post after the fact.

Of course, there's always the chance I'm just misremembering your stubbornness concerning Jalen being the starter.

Nice alternative facts there, bud. I didn't "prophesy" anything. I said what literally every single person said about Tua's perceived gunslinger attitude, that we would have to live with the risky throws (which he has made but thankfully more times than not it still resulted in a positive play). No one expected him to be as safe with the ball as he has been. You, and everyone else that wanted to crucify me for not wanting to bury Jalen, like to omit all of the other things I said about Tua. Like how his upside was probably the biggest of any QB Bama had ever had, how unbelievably talented he was and how I hoped he would live up to and surpass all the hype and pressure every one put on him. Very convenient.

I will gladly and happily, I said this multiple times early in the season though but I guess it has to be said anytime Tua is brought up now, say I was wrong and that Tua has been everything hyped and more.

DIdn't even see this post. Absolutely priceless.

I certainly don't mean this egotistically; please don't take it that way.

If there's one thing I'm cursed with in life is retention. And I recall very specifically how those conversations went. He maintained a few things and among those were

  • don't count Jalen out.
  • Tua's has unlimited potential
  • worried about control—turnovers.
The latter you have correct. What's ironic is we've seen his decision making improve within this season. Hell, Danielson pointed out the same thing Saturday (and I shiver at thinking I"m using him as an example.)

Here we are seeing a vastly improved Jalen. Damn, pegged that one didn't he.
Here we are seeing Tua's potential. Damn, pegged that one as well.

The proof is in the pudding, bro. Use our search functions here if you like. But, I assure you, what I'm saying here is spot on correct.

Seriously @TerryP, how much of what @BamaBoyJosh says do you think goes misunderstood around here?

I said he had lot's to say about Tua throwing picks and running a high risk/reward offense. Then he answers me back by telling me that he had a lot to say about Tua throwing picks and running a high risk/reward offense. Which really was my point. Tell the truth, it was my point, right? That and I'm pretty sure had things gone as planned we'd be getting a @BamaBoyJosh Jalen facial about now.

Not arguing your obvious gift of mental retention. I'm sure there is a litany of other things you can also recall. Just your need that compels you to explain what @BamaBoyJosh has to say on this Bama forum on any given subject. Very superfluous.

A Jalen facial? You mean like the Tua facial you're attempting to throw at someone who never said anything negative about him to start? Go back and read what I said. I flat out said "dont count Jalen out." Terry wasn't reading my mind. I said that explicitly and then when people like you accused me of disliking Tua, one of the things I pointed out was "high risk/high reward" and also that we had a small sample size of him in anything other than garbage time. You're attempting to twist it to mean something it doesn't because you want to be able to do the "I told ya so" to mean that you claim I would have done if the opposite happened.

Did you clear this with @TerryP?

I dont even know what you're trying to say...

With that said, I understand Tua's skill set and his potential and I've never disagreed with that. I just think Jalen has too much to offer to be written off like so many want to do. Hell, I was damn near ready to write him off after the fan day fiasco, myself.

Like I said... go back and read what I was actually saying back then.

Of course, there's always the chance I'm just misremembering your stubbornness concerning Jalen being the starter.
Certainly remembering incorrectly. His stance was "don't count Jalen out." It was specifically spelled out that way.

Na... Pretty sure he proclaimed Jalen would be the starter. Then changed after some scrimmage reports or something along those lines...

I dont even know what you're trying to say...

Really? And yet you're busying yourself interpreting what I really meant when I just put it in writing.

Like I said... go back and read what I was actually saying back then.

That door swings both ways. Tell you what, when I get some downtime and when this overwhelming feeling washes over me that I want to wade through 7 months of @BamaBoyJosh rantings, I'll do just that. In the meantime, you may just have to suffer the indignations of being one of the misunderstood. Welcome to the club and grab a seat.

Not true. Not even in the slightest. I remember even posting up "scrimmage reports" myself of Jalen killing it. The entire time I said Jalen had just as much a chance as Tua, simple as that. You guys made it into what you wanted to. Suddenly I was a "Jalen fan boy."

So, you're accusing me of doing exactly what you did to me... Priceless... You "put it writing" asking if I got something cleared from Terry. Me and Terry have argued and disagreed countless times. So, what you're saying is... well.... dumb.

That's what I just said. You know for a guy with such strong opinions, you seem to struggle a lot with comprehension and short-term memory loss.

FTBL - Jalen or Tua? Bobby Bowden says 'Nick can't go wrong'

I will personally support Tua, just like I have Jalen, if he wins the job but I don't think either one is going to truly "win it" because I believe they'll both be playing. Jalen will be starting on Sept. 1, though.

Nah, Locks gone to Maryland, CNS promotes Enos.

Whatever TN offers, we can just about double.

Then Butch steps into an on-the-field position.
You think Maryland will give him another go at it? If so, I wonder how many of those Maryland/DC area recruits do we lose? Hopefully none, but......

Locksley has been a great recruiter for us.... and Diggs older brother passed us up and stayed in Maryland - but the vast majority of these recruit want to play at Alabama, not take a chance for the Terps - JMHO

Oh, I'm not saying I never said Jalen would start. I'm pretty sure I said it multiple times but you accused me of suddenly flipping "after a few scrimmage reports," which is absolutely untrue. I was saying that all the way up until right before the start of the season.
