That's a good question.

I don't think we'll see Maze handling both punt and kick returns. He handled all the punts for the last eight games? I recall Julio getting that job against UArk and UF, but didn't after playing the Gators.

The team did pretty well on kick returns last year. Looking back I'm surprised how much of it was done by our starters and upperclassman. Chavis is the only one that comes to mind as not being in that group...and, I can't recall when it was that he returned a kick/punt, but I do recall him doing it. Was it against Georgia Southern when Maze was already pulled?

Or Washington maybe.... This just flat out sux. New QB / QB's that were without question going to rely on a solid ground game with depth. Somebody is going to have to grow up in a hurry.

Would you waste a red-shirt year on a guy who gets @ 40 touches or less? Sylve was expected to 'shirt, and I still am under the assumption he will.

I'd go with someone like Kenny Bell, who is real fleet footed, Carswell, Williams (either,) DeAndrew, Norwood...a lot of guys out there that can break away in a flash.

If Lacy is hurt someone will step up. I seem to recall Auburn beating the Tide at home with a 3rd string HB a few years back.

Looking at the roster we still have Richardson, Fowler, Tinker, and Howell. Tinker and Howell both got in some carries against Ga State.

Howell 5 carries, 11 yds
Tinker 4 carries, 9 yds
