What about the 2017-18 National Champions UCF? imagine all of those Champions who are elligible are declaring? No need to come back, their coaches are all gone to Neb. They have their NC rings, parade and worldwide recognition..right? right? right?
 
If Auburn retains most of their defense, they will be right back in the mix.

Their offense can be quite average, and it won’t matter.
Change Auburn to Alabama. Then add in they're four of their starting five offensive linemen plus the others noted here. Do you think you'd find a soul say, "...and it won't matter?"

Jeff Holland, probably their most athletic and dangerous defensive player, declared for the draft the other day. If my opinion of him means bupkis to you, that's fine. I just know Steele is going to have a hard time replacing him.

Barn loses 13 off of their 2 deep offense and defense. Includes 6 of 10 OL, all experience at RB ( Johnson, I didn't include Pettway in these numbers), in nickel, they lose 4 of 10 in the 2 deep. Most of these guys have little experience.
 


Georgia junior defensive tackle Trenton Thompson is entering the NFL draft despite a decline in production in 2017. Thompson had three sacks and was named MVP in Georgia's Liberty Bowl win over Texas Christian following the 2016 season. Thompson, from Albany, Georgia, helped lead this year's team to its first Southeastern Conference championship since 2015 and a spot in the national championship game.
