📝 Dylan Moses v. Najee Harris

Watch Najee's movement though. The guy is 6'2, 220 and look how quick and smooth he is. I watched this and a few other five stars in the same drill and you can clearly see the elevation of his game compared to others and why he is #1. He may technically lose this matchup, but in a game does he actually get tackled. To your point though, Moses is going to do just fine with Tosh coaching him up. So happy we pulled him.

Oh, yeah. Bama definitely has a win-win with these two guys.

I'm hoping Tosh doesn't get that call from McElwain to be the DC for the Gators. When Collins left for his HC position, it's been an immediate concern, especially with the relationship Tosh has with so many recruits, including Tua. Glad to hear Randy Shannon was promoted during their bowl game, just hope he gets the gig full-time.

I think Shannon keeps that gig full time. He has a pretty good reputation as a DC, not so much a HC. He is a helluva recruiter as well. Shannon has a lot more experience and I doubt McElwain would give Tosh a shot as a inexperienced DC going into his 3rd year.

I think he's a good DC also and really cut his teeth on the job. I'm just not sure what's going on in Gainsville with their recruiting? Shannon nor anyone else has been able to break through with elite recruits yet and that's strange to me. I know that Tosh can recruit and therein might lie the temptation to get better recruiters on Mac's staff. Hope you're right.

Is Harris solid with us, or is he a Michigan lean?

At this point, everyone is trying to read the tea leaves with this kid. But one of the interesting things that just happened with Michigan this week was the huge loss of Isaiah Wilson to Georgia. He was a strong lean to the wolverines forever and to suddenly shift south when he is from NY hurt them. They desperately need OL in this class and particularly OT. Losing this kid put them in terrible shape for next season all across the LOS by their own admission. Of course, I'm hoping the notion of running behind some of the best linemen at Alabama will matter to an elite running back. So Wilson may have helped actually. He just took his last trip to Ann Arbor before the dead period and probably their most balanced fan forum just is not sure, but like us hopeful. You can listen in if you like.

ALABAMA Recruiting

Thanks for link. Bama's depth is only concern for a RB recruit and I'm sure Harbaugh #1 bug to put in Najee ear. However, when you are as talented, smart/level headed and willing to work harder than everyone else; Harris should have ZERO concerns for completion. Not being expected to carry 25+ per game for at least 3yrs in college should be a positive for RBs looking to make a living carrying the ball after college. (See HTWMI, MFBATR, CBEL, TJ & El Tractorcito)

I used to think the same, thing, but you only need to look at last year. We signed four of the top five backs in the country four years ago. Three transferred, one broke an ankle the year before and an arm the next leaving us razor thin. I definitely get what you're saying, and that that was a crazy circumstance, but you can never have enough. Heck, look at our quarterback situation as well. Started with four, and down to one now basically.
