šŸ€ Duke: Coach K wanted to quit. Their women's team did quit. And now his players are quitting.

Coach K has had such respect in his career at Duke/Army ( i think)...
Hate to see him pull a spurrier ( walk out on ur team in mid-season) or woody Hayes ( hit a player ..opponent or not)... and destroy a legacy...
@TerryP if thats true...should have been more than "off year"

Wow. Glad it's being called out for what it is. Same with Terrance Marshall at LSU and others.

The NCAA, NFL, NBA, and whoever else need to start putting some guidelines into effect. At this point, they should allow anyone and everyone to go pro out of high school. Let's maintain what we have with college athletics and do this the right way so those with half a brain that want sustained excellence have the chance for that, those that are truly elite aren't wasting their time, and the money hungry fools out there can wet their beaks and then fade away into oblivion. If you opt out without cause going forward, you are not eligible for first round selection. Set a standard that forces these guys to finish what they started and not give up on school that has invested hundreds of thousands into them, only to get nothing in return, not even a full season. That's not even bringing into the discussion what they're doing to their teammates whom have also worked just as hard for a special season.

cant disagree....
Players/coaches that walk out on their team....
Different world...

They can, but lets be honest, most of these guys can't take care of themselves at their own home without their parents, so they dang sure would be a mess overseas, even with money.

isnt that really a major issue.... to young to have so much....
I know my 87.50$/ month kept me in enough trouble....
Went to 230$/ month being overseas....
...of course..spending was a little problem

They can go to China and play, have a hard time stepping out of line over there if they ever want to be seen again, besides that, they may get can tour with LeBron at the factory where their shoes are being made. :p

JaMarr Chase, for example, is still picked by many to be drafted above Smitty. He qui...opted out, too. As long as the pros are going to award this with chances of being a high draft pick and the millions that come with it, we as the fans have to deal with this BS.
