Alabama offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier accepted his new job, he knew exactly what to expect. And he knows what is expected from him.
As such, he joked there will be no surprises when the Crimson Tide's offense takes the field this season.
"I think when you look at the base premise of playing good offensive football and the way coach (Nick) Saban has done it over time, you look at the ability to run the football and the ability not to turn the football over," Nussmeier said prior to an appearance at the 18th annual DEX Imaging-L'Arche Football Preview Thursday night at the Mitchell Center.
"Those are obviously two key elements to winning football games. And we won't do anything new at all," he added with a broad smile, drawing laughter from members of the media taking part in his press conference. "... It will be the same, exact plays that we ran last year, we'll just change the order that we ran them in."
