Harping on the "no TD" call from the 1st half and then calling it the turning point of the game did grate on my nerves. The fact that he never mentioned that Muschamp could've easily taken 1 of his 2 timeouts to stop the clock and give replay the chance to take a closer look bothered me. Hell, he could've even challenged it.Instead, he chose to make it out that it was replays fault.
The Najee Davenport thing, I just rolled my eyes. I then commented that he was morphing into Uncle Verne before our very eyes!!

I defend Gary every year. I don't fully understand why fellow Bama fans dislike him so much. He literally has more respect for Saban and Bama football than anyone. Now... He does make continual points of "here's how you beat Bama" but what's wrong with that? All he wants is a great competitive football game and he knows Bama is the gold standard. A great game is best for his job and rating. They hate games going into the 4th quarter having to do feel good bios on coaches and players or "back to the studio for another game update" Who cares what he says?! But is he prejudice against Bama... that's laughable.

I must be so into the game that I don't even pay attention to the announcers. Why should he influence your watching experience... get over it! Haha

This is me... I really do not pay attention to the announcers. I watched the entire game and completely missed his mispronunciation of Najee.

Yah...patience is running razor thin today but that's not related to anything here. (effin' test failing and I KNOWN I've had the code right ... looks like the damn test parameters are faulty according to what I've found on slack...three and a half hours later.)

This means nothing to CBS. It's not a vote. If ratings went down, then they listen. Watching the game with the sound off doesn't impact the ratings.

Its called confirmation bias. We all have it. Sometimes it is just better to step out of ourselves from time to time.

I don't think he is biased. Gary starts any game (no matter the participants) with 2-3 agenda points. He will find a way to interject those into the game. Sometimes this happens naturally with the flow of the game. More often Gary feels he must force them and he will. He will then repeat them several times in the game, even if he has to force it

To me, Gary tries to be jury, judge and referee all at the same time, over and over and over constantly throughout the whole game. It sometimes is too much. It really does not matter what he thinks should or shouldn't be called. In my opinion, he and other analyst should comment on what the referees call on the field and not what he believes should have been called.

Same here. I see posts on Facebook at least a dozen times a game every week now. For like 20 years, my whole family got together on Bama game days (uncles, aunts, me, my dad, my cousins, girlfriends, boyfriends, wives, husbands, friends, etc.) but over the years that started to go down from every week to a few times a year to now we dont go at all anymore. One of my biggest issues was the constant whining about Gary Danielson and how much he hates Alabama. It was EVERY...SINGLE...WEEK. And I just couldn't take that crap anymore. Now, either my dad comes over here or we go over there. Hell, half the time we're talking about what we just saw or what we think the defense is doing on the next play to the point you can't even hear the commentators lol

It doesn't matter who does our games, I can always find something I don't like they say either about Bama or for the other team. It goes with wearing the crimson colored glasses I proudly wear. I can always find the announcers biased against Bama if I want to do so. It's a weakness I enjoy exploiting each week.

It's those Ford Truck commercials! One is with the coach from the patty field, the other is from the other coach. Not once, but multi time. This not counting the other car dealership trying to sell auto and show the other crap.

Same area so same network stations. I have pretty much given up watching games on network due to those commercials and the local news fawning over those two teams. Bama I sync up to Eli from a stream but other teams I can't do anything about.
