| FTBL Don’t let Gary Danielson broadcast anymore Alabama Games

Good lord do we have to hear this bullshit every single year? And no, I'm not talking about Gary. No, he is not "against" Alabama. No, he does not "root" for the team playing Alabama. People need to get over this nonsense. Personally, I like Gary. I think he is very knowledgeable and I think part of the reason that people try to claim that he is "against" Alabama is how excited he gets during big plays and moments, but he gets equally excited for big plays for Alabama. The dude just loves football and is passionate about it. He literally drools over Tua but somehow people still whine about him hating Alabama.
 
For anyone that has watched Gary Danielson broadcast SEC football on CBS over the last several years knows every year he is biased toward some teams and players. A couple of his favorite teams have been Florida and LSU. A few favorite players have been Tebow, Manziel, and Fournette.

I actually laughed out loud at that one. I have not heard Najeh Davenport's name in a long, long time. I mean it was a bad look considering the road Davenport's name life down but the way people were freaking out about on Twitter was building a mountain out of a molehill.

No, I don't know that. He tends to fawn over great players - hence the three names you mentioned - but I notice you don't seem to have an issue over the way he drools over Tua...

I never said those I mentioned were not great
players. Yes, I agree he was biased toward Tua Saturday. Just wait, his favorite player Saturday for the Auburn - A&M game will be Bo Nix.

Hammer meet nail. This really hits exactly what I didn't realize I don't like about him. It isn't that he fawns over folks, it is that he just continues to talk about something way past when it matters. This is annoying when it is something good for Bama but downright nauseating when it is about another team. Almost like your little old grandma who will never let you forget how you beat little Jimmy in that foot race when you were 4 and also continually reminds you about how little Johnny curb stomped your butt when you were 6.
 
I find trying to listen to a radio broadcast and watch a tv game to much.....so i don’t listen to Eli....and watch a game or even when i am at game....
Gary is better without Vern....but he does dwell on plays...missed calls....as you all mentioned...he has his little stats and stuff,...he trys to make things interesting.....give him credit...
Too many announcers and announcing teams believe they are the reason people are watching....not the game..... those are the ones that i mute...the CBS crew is ok.....tolerable... the biggest drawback is Ms50+ hates Gary and bitches and bitches .sometimes i have to do the mute of her.......she loves Eli....

I have never said he is against Bama. I do not like his constant talking when it comes to somethings; like the TD that was never scored. Good Lord, do we really have to hear about it the entire freaking game???? He is to provide color commentary, not dominate the show. I will give you the point he is knowledgeable, no doubt about it. He just gets on my last nerve. Everyone has an opinion, we disagree on Danielson but life goes on.
