🏈 Does each "playoff" game count as a bowl game?

Bama leads all teams currently. Should the Tide qualify, how will the "playoffs" figure into this total? Anyone know for certain?

Yes, it does. Hence, the Sugar Bowl will be a bowl game, the Rose will as well.

The CFB playoff site has a breakdown of how the revenue distribution works this year. There are four or five conditions to meet and pay for each.

As I recall, the SEC will get around 30 million as a base. With 11 teams in that's another 6-7 million. If Bama makes it in there's another 6 million to the SEC. If the SEC gets a team in the Cotton, Chick-Fil-A, Orange, etc. there's another 4 million per team to the conference. There's a 2 million payout to schools to cover travel expenses as well...
