šŸˆ Does an 8 team playoff make sense?

I say go back to the BCS. All this playoff crap finally got serious when we played LSU in 2011 because a couple of butt hurt teams felt like a team who didn't even qualify to play in their conference championship didn't deserve to be in the National Championship game. Sound Familiar?? Also there was severe SEC hate that didn't want to SEC teams in the game together when one of them had already lost to the other. But if wisconsin would have beat PSU i would bet my left nut they would have put Michigan over Washington.

The BCS did exactly what they designed it to do without bias.. but the left coasters and big 10 folks remembered that they need the bias in order to compete.

I say use the BCS formula to select the top 4 and play it off if you are dead set on the playoff. I think that formula did a good job of getting the top 4 right more times than not and it takes the lobbying and bias out of it.

Wesley Gullett was on twitter yesterday going after Ohio State fans tweets from 2011. Substituting Alabama's name with Ohio State's name from Ohio State's fans original tweets. Their responses are hilarious, you can see more on his timeline.

If we are asking teams to give up a regular season game, its going to be a tough sell. It all comes down to the almighty $$$$. The 4 team playoff is better than what we had, which was better than just the bowl games. In time, I do think the playoffs will expand to 8 games. What does not make sense to me is that we have a 4 team playoff with 5 power conferences, someone is always going to be left out.
