šŸˆ Die Hard Movie Stars Roll Tide guy

Tide nation! I know you all remember the ESPN Roll Tide commercial. The link is below. The guy in the car kissing the girl at the 33 second mark is playing John McClane's son in the next Die Hard! Roll Tide McClane! Roll Tide! The link to the trailer is below also.

I got to be an extra in the movie! They made us sign a non disclosure agreement because they were putting on a fake search for John McClane Jr. They had already cast that roll and wanted all the plot details to be secret. The movie looks like it is going to be great. Here is an article that talks about how Die Hard tricked everyone. ROLL TIDE YALL!

Ahhh I hope its not as cheesy as it looks. I love the Die Hard trilogy and trust me I'll be first in line to watch this but I don't expect it to beat out the last one (Live Free or Die Hard).

Supposed to be really good

Based on what I saw filmed when I got to be an extra, it's going to be really cool. It seems more old school similar to the first one, which is by far the best in my opinion. I hope it's good too!

Im confused, I read this trailer was a joke trailer. If this is real... YIKES. Movie looks terrible, looks like its more a Jack McClane movie rather than John McClane. The dialogue shown in the trailer was pretty terrible too (from Roll Tide guy).

I find it hard to believe that is an official trailer when production isn't supposed to start until this month.

A Good Day to Die Hard begins production in April and is set to hit theaters February 14, 2013.

Also they just added a couple of actors to play the bad guys recently.

A Good Day to Die Hard, the fifth installment of the Die Hard franchise, is inching towards reality, but still has some pretty big holes to fill. Bruce Willis set to return as the heroic John McClane, John Moore is directing and Jai Courtney is playing McClane's son, but what about the other side of the law? Who will be playing the big baddies? Variety has the answer to that question.

Sebastian Koch and Yulia Snigir have signed on to play villains in A Good Day To Die Hard. Koch, who was born in Germany, has had a long career in German cinema, but is likely best known to American audiences for his role in the Oscar winning The Lives of Others. Snigir, on the other hand, is a relative newcomer, as she only started acting in 2006. The characters they will be playing are named Komorov and Irina.

Plus I recognized a few scenes in that trailer.

At 1:27 it is from the Mission Impossible: Ghost protocol trailer at 0.12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0LQnQSrC-g&ob=av3e

At 1:39 it is from the trailer to The Avengers at 0.28 . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89_zqLk7k5A

Just came across this if anyone is interested.

We’ve known for some time now that A Good Day to Die Hard would see John McClane (Bruce Willis) heading to Russia to reunite with his estranged son Jack (Jai Courtney). What we’ve just now learned, however, is that the entire movie will be set in Russia, aside from a couple of ā€œbookend scenesā€ in New York.

ā€œJohn McClaine goes to Russia and I think the technical term — which I don’t know if you can say on MTV, maybe you can — is he f***'s everything up,ā€ Fox CEO Tom Rothman told MTV.

Rothman also sat down for a few words with Collider, in which he expanded a bit on the relationship between the two McClanes:
It’s really a father-son story, which is that John McClane’s been a great cop his whole life but he’s been a pretty lousy father. He has a grown son who he’s not really been in much touch with, and McClane thinks the son’s a f*** up — that’s a technical term. [...] So he goes to Russia, he thinks, to bail his son out of jail, and it turns out the son’s not a f*** up, he’s the antithesis of that. In fact, the apple has not fallen far from the tree, the apple has not fallen from the tree, which is that the son is a badder ass John McClane than John McClane.

Which is a good thing, because as one thing leads to another, father and son find themselves faced with some very formidable foes. ā€œIt comes to the point in the story where they’re basically the most wanted men in the entire Soviet Union, and it’s the two of them against all of the bad guys,ā€ said Rothman. ā€œI’ve just gotta say, it’s a classic, classic Die Hard.ā€

Since this thread is more about a movie than Bama, maybe it should be moved to the Houndstooth Den.
