🏈 Did Derrick Henry Play at all Saturday?

I thought I saw him on special teams but I guess that 21 was Maurice Smith according to the game participation stats. Weird that he didnt play.

I don't think it was weird. I didn't really expect too much from either him or Tenpenny Saturday. Maybe if Bama could have held the comfortable lead in the 4th.

I definitely think we'll all see a healthy dose of 21 and 23 this weekend. Hopefully in the 2nd quarter.

Me either, especially after some of the mistakes I saw during Va Tech. I'm all for learning on the job, but I wouldn't pick an away game at the home of the 12th man to be that learning environment. I'd rather take a few guys that have been in these games.

Two other RB's didn't make the trip, which likely means they'll be RS'ed.

Now with Drake in the mix, Fowler toting the rock, Hart having some touches against VT and Tenpenny making an appearance. One has to wonder where he'll fit into the mix, if he caught on quickly with the blocking schemes(not likely to be entrusted unless he shows out) we could see him more in Fowler's role in mop up.

Then there is Jones and Kamara, I guess the real discussion here is who will be redshirted and who will transfer.

I'm late to the show, but I just realized on Saturday that he was #21 and not #3. I was way up in the student section at Virginia Tech and couldn't really see jack, so missed it that weekend. I'm glad Kenyan Drake is back in the mix, and he showed why I was excited about his opportunity this year. What was he doing to get put in the doghouse? Always want to see my Georgia boys get in there and show what they can do. I'm excited about Dillon Lee as well.

I think Henry will get more looks as the season goes on. Like was said before in a post, I'm sure a true freshman that was out most of camp wasn't a good idea to block for McCarron in College Station. It was a must win game and you simply can't beat experience in a situation like that. One turnover and momentum switches, ask TJ Yeldon for the second year in a row (last year we would have won without his fumble in my opinion). Big boy will get his opportunities and will be needed to pound it out against LSU and an SEC Championship matchup.
