🌎 Did Anyone Watch The Republican Debate Last Night?

I watched about ten minutes of it. A huge number of irrelevant candidates who defied the moderators and sought to be the loudest in the vain hope they can land an extra point in the polls. Turned it off... What I did see is what I expected though. Ramaswamy didn't have to be the loud four-year-old, say like Christie. He did well. He actually might have gained an extra point or two.

I heard a plea for federal laws, keeping the war machine funded, and a lot of people talking over one another. Meh.

I watched about 10-15 minutes as well. Personally, I thought Nikki Haley did well.

I had it on in the background so I saw and heard chunks of it. Hard for me not to be biased, because barring something extremely unforeseen, I’m voting for DeSantis. That was the first I’d really seen of Vivek. He was annoying and came off like a guy who just wants to make some waves, get attention, and eventually latch onto Trump when the timing is right. Haley did better than I figured she would, but like Christie, she’s just way too entrenched in DC for me.. zero trust in her. Pence just seemed to be pandering for the the Evangelical votes with a script, and I put him in the same basket as Tim Scott… would probably be more likeable than most of the others out on the street, but I don't see them as a good fit as POTUS. The debate itself, from the parts I saw, was pretty much chaos... some of that is on the FNC moderators, but a lot of it was just people like Vivek and Christie having zero self control. Even Pence was like a yapping dog all night. Some of the questions were dumb too. I don't gave a shit about the Jan 6 stuff at this point. And a UFO question? Dumb.

Unfortunately, it sure looks like we are headed back down the same road as last time... Trump vs. Biden, and Trump loses... again.

When that question was asked, I looked up to see the reactions.... I didn't notice what DeSantis did because Christie Immediallty caught my attention and I was trying to figure out what he was doing. I think he was doing the same thing, but probably wasn't as sly... I will say it was a dumb question without more context... If it was Biden v. Trump and those were the only options, I'd assume everyone on the stage would want Trump to win, even with his warts. I would as well, if for no other reason than Supreme Court and and other judge appointments. But, he wouldn't have my support in the traditional sense. In fact, I'd still write in someone else more than likely.
